Early memories include baseball at the Diamond and exploring the VMFA with my mom. While I always considered myself a Richmonder, I was too young to realize we actually lived in Henrico! After several decades and addresses, I'm back as a "real" Richmonder living in the Fan with my husband, 2 girls, cat and dog .

I then served as Duke University Health System’s Assistant Director for Campus Design & Sustainability where I led master planning and sustainability projects across 240 acres and $700 million in new construction and renovations. I know how to work with city planning departments, private consultants and community partners.

Throughout my life, I've consistently filled leadership roles because I'm happiest when serving my community and working to improve the lives of others. This has been from the neighborhood level supporting our schools up to the large scale as part of the team behind the campaign to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) in Virginia. Whether it's for the environment, school funding or gender equality, I step forward to lead and secure positive change. I would be honored to do that for the 2nd.
